Hiroshima Saijo Sake Journey: Breweries and Gourmet Pairing Lunch ~Unveil Japan’s Sake Culture and Flavors~

#Inbound Group Tour for International Visitors

The area around Saijo Station in Higashihiroshima City is home to seven sake breweries and is known as “Saijo, the City of Sake.” Among them, Kamotsuru Sake Brewery, a representative of Hiroshima, has been a pioneer in Daiginjo sake brewing since the Meiji era, adopting advanced rice polishing techniques. At the G7 Hiroshima Summit, their representative sakes such as [Junmai Daiginjo Hiroshima Nishiki / Daiginjo Gold Kamotsuru Square Bottle] were served.
We have launched a tour for inbound group visitors that includes a meal, allowing them to enjoy Japanese sake from various angles in the Saijo area, where the history and scenery related to sake are still vividly present.

The tour overview offers a premium experience where visitors can enjoy specially developed dishes (lunch) paired with sake, interacting with the master brewer through an English-speaking guide.
Additionally, accompanied by an English guide, visitors will tour the surrounding breweries, learning about their unique features and Saijo’s distinctive landscape, with a sake explanation at Kamotsuru Sake Brewery. This tour allows overseas visitors to deepen their understanding of Japan’s traditional sake brewing, which is registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, through the town of Saijo and its history.

This plan is perfect for small groups of 10-20 people. When visiting Hiroshima, please consider a trip to Saijo, just one train ride away on JR!
