(2 Days 1 Night) Visit Kotohiragu Shrine and Shodoshima Island with its Olive-Scented Breeze in Kagawa
On the first day, visit the Special Place of Scenic Beauty “Ritsurin Garden,” then enjoy a hands-on udon making experience with Kagawa’s famous noodles. Visit “Kotohiragu Shrine,” affectionately known as “Sanuki no Konpira-san.” On the second day, take a ferry to Shodoshima Island floating in the Seto Inland Sea, famous for its olives. Tour Shodoshima Olive Park, Twenty-Four Eyes Movie Village, and Kankakei Gorge.

Route: Ritsurin Garden → Udon Making Experience → Kotohiragu Shrine → Yashima → Takamatsu City

Ritsurin Garden (60 minutes)
A garden with nearly 400 years of history, skillfully arranged with six ponds and thirteen artificial hills across a vast 75-hectare site against the backdrop of Mt. Shiun. It’s said to have the charm of “one step, one view” where the scenery changes with every step. You can enjoy the changing landscapes while strolling through the garden.

Nakano Udon School / Experience & Lunch
Learn how to make authentic Sanuki udon and eat the udon you made on the spot. Please try the udon-making experience of kneading, stepping, cutting, and eating.

Kotohiragu Shrine Visit (120 minutes)
A shrine dedicated to the sea god, long beloved as “Konpira-san,” famous for its long approach with 785 steps to the main shrine and 1,368 steps to the inner shrine. Souvenir shops and udon restaurants line both sides of the path, bustling with domestic and international tourists year-round.

Yashima (60 minutes)
Yashima, the battlefield of the Genpei War, is a lava plateau shaped like a roof. From the mountaintop, you can enjoy panoramic views of the multi-island beauty of the Seto Inland Sea, Takamatsu city, and the Sanuki mountain range. There are also many attractive spots including castle ruins, an aquarium, and movie filming locations.

Twenty-Four Eyes Movie Village (60 minutes)
A theme park for Japanese films and literature built from the movie set of “Twenty-Four Eyes.” In this place where the townscape and atmosphere of the Taisho and early Showa periods remain, you can feel like you’ve time-traveled to a retro and nostalgic world. Enjoy popular photogenic spots and cafes where you can taste Japanese school lunches.

Olive Park / Lunch
In the park with its Greek atmosphere, about 2,000 olive trees and over 130 varieties of herbs are cultivated. The set used for filming the live-action “Kiki’s Delivery Service” operates as a general store, and recently it has become popular among young people to borrow magic brooms and take photos with the windmill in the background.

Kankakei Gorge (Ropeway) (60 minutes)
One of Japan’s three most beautiful gorges. The gorge beauty created over 2 million years is a breathtaking spectacle. You can enjoy seasonal scenery, with the autumn foliage period being especially crowded with tourists.
